Paid Advertising: Check Your Landing Page Before Launch

A paid campaign needs a landing page that explains the offer and makes the next step clear. Before launch, review the audience, message and enquiry journey together. Buying more traffic cannot resolve an unclear service proposition.

Match the message to the audience

Write down who the campaign is for, what problem they are trying to solve and what action the page should support. Use the same service language in the advert and landing page. A visitor should not need to search the website to understand why they arrived.

Explain the offer before asking for details

Describe what is included, who the service suits and what happens after an enquiry. Use evidence you can verify, such as approved project examples or product documentation. Do not add invented reviews, performance figures or client logos to make a page look established.

Test the complete enquiry journey

  1. Open the page on mobile and desktop.
  2. Check the primary call to action and every required form field.
  3. Confirm where a submission goes and who responds.
  4. Test the success message and error handling.
  5. Check email and phone links.
  6. Document any step that opens another application.

A button that prepares an email draft is different from a server-delivered form. Tell visitors what will happen and make sure the receiving process is ready.

Agree measurement before launch

Define what counts as a conversion and distinguish a completed enquiry from a simple button click. Test tracking against the actual user journey. Keep consent requirements and the customer’s privacy needs in the implementation plan.

Separate media spend from service scope

A proposal should distinguish advertising spend, management, creative work, landing-page changes and third-party tools. Agree responsibilities and a review schedule. Early results should inform testing; they are not a promise of future returns.
